    1858 (12th Jul) entire from a Germany missionary addressed to Bremen bearing 1857 No Watermark 1/- Green bisected vertically, SG 6a and 1857 White paper 2d Blue strip of three - lifted and replaced, all clearly cancelled with numeral of Otago, manuscript '8' and '1/4' rate marks, 'P' within oval in red, London and Bremen backstamps, minor cover creasing/soiling and two 2d adhesives missing at left. The 1/- bisects are generally found on mail to England paying the 6d rate. Recorded in 'Postage Stamps of New Zealand, Vol I' pp.61. 1995 Holcombe and Van Der Linden Certificates. One of the great covers of New Zealand. [Provenance: Ex Pack]
