    1931 (18 May) registered cover to Austria bearing 6d Kangaroo (3rd Wmk) tied by legible Ecklin South cds and bearing rare red registration label (torn), backstamped Terang, Melbourne, Perth

    1936 (7 Oct) commercial cover Melbourne to 'Beira/Portuguese East Africa', insufficiently prepaid in bearing 2d S.A. Centenary (rate was 3d) and with Australian deficient postage instructional handstamp applied to reverse alongside affixed Mozambique Postage Due ½c and 1c blocks of three tied by Beira datestamp. Remarkable origin/destination item

    Instructional Marking: 1930 (1 Jan) interbank passbook savings envelope used Melbourne to Ormond showing framed 'DAMAGED BY FIRE/IN LETTER RECEIVER' and unframed 'DAMAGED BY/ WATER' in black. Very rare

    Military: 1943 (22 Nov) stampless cover (little roughly handled) from Nassau, Bahamas, endorsed 'R.A.A.F. OVERSEAS' in stamp position and 'A421201/Sgt. GODDARD O.E./C/O R.A.F. STATION' on reverse, sent to addressee's daughter in Sydney. A small contingent of Australian Air Force personnel received advanced Pilot training from R.A.F. in Bahamas, and this is the first item from that source seen by us

    Military: 1944 (2 Mar) use of 'AIR MAIL/LETTER CARD' with 'POSTAGE/1d/PAID' in red to Victoria with datestamp of 'AUST UNIT POSTAL STN./351' in use by 2/11th Field Regiment at W.A. for a little over 4 months, censor cachet at left, minor staining. Scarce usage other than N.T. or Papua
