    1864-67 DLR 1d Dull Red, 2d Blue, 4d Red-Brown and 10d Lilac Wmk Single-lined Numerals Perf 13, plus the 1860-72 2d Diadem Wmk Double-lined ''3'' Perf 13, all optd diagonal ''SPECIMEN'' (McCredie Type 1), fine for these with part o.g. Also 1d envelope cut-out with same overprint (6)

    1871-84 2d Pale Blue perf 13 showing variety 'TWO PENCE' doubled at right due to a shift in the decoupage; singles used on separate 1877 and 1878 covers to Sydney (one uncancelled) and a pair used on 1877 (29 Nov) mourning cover Sydney to Wagga Wagga with RPSL cert (1986). Mostly fine (3 covers)

    1871-84 Wmk Crown over NSW (I) Perf 13 8d Yellow vertical strip of three used with 2d DLR pair tied by Sydney roller cancels on 1877 (11 Apr) large (400 x 134mm) OHMS envelope (back flap missing) to The Crown Land Agent at Bathurst, with double oval ''REGISTERED/SYDNEY, N.S.W.'' d.s. also tying 8d strip. The envelope is endorsed ''Packet No 2 contg 3 deeds/Deed Branch Sydney 10 April 1877'', with central fold and some faults, nevertheless a remarkable printed papers franking

    1871-84 Wmk Crown over NSW (I) Perf 13 8d Yellow (from lower right corner with straight edges two sides) tied by Sydney ''N.S.W.'' in concentric ovals duplex to 1878 (24 Apr) redirected cover to Nantes, France, endorsed ''Via San Francisco'', peripheral faults; and 8d Yellow tied by ''55'' ray type numeral on 1879 (30 Aug) cover (some stains) from Newcastle to Ems (redirected to Eberswalde) Germany, endorsed ''Via Galle''. Both covers with scarce handstruck ''1D'' accountancy mark in violet (2 covers)

    1871-84 Wmk Crown over NSW (I) Perf 13 8d Yellow on three covers to U.K., comprising vertical pair (straight edge at base) 1879 (10 May) cover (roughly opened and with minor creasing) from Sydney to Scotland, endorsed ''Via Galle & Brindisi''; 1879 (30 Jul) cover from Sydney to London, very fine and ex Butler; and 1879 (31 Oct) mourning cover from Woollahra to London, forwarded to France with addition of G.B. 2d rosy-mauve Plate 16 cancelled London ''128'' duplex (envelope with peripheral faults and large tear at top) (3 covers)

    1876 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) Perf 13 1/- Black optd 'Specimen' (McCredie Type 5) in Red; 1882-97 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) optd 'Specimen' (Type 6) comprising 1d, 2d Perf 11 x 12, 4d, 10d Perf 10, and 'OS' 1d, 2d, 4d, Perf 11 x 12 and 6d, 1/- Perf 10. Mostly fine, the 'OS' opts with part o.g. as prepared. Ex McCredie (10)

    1882-97 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) Perf 10 3d Yellow Green, marginal example from right imperforate between stamp and margin and with wmk inverted, variety 'Double Impression'. Fine, cancelled by 1891 cds. A major printing error, formerly SG 226a which has been inexplicably deleted from the catalogue

    1882-97 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) Perf 10 3d Yellow-green, imperforate between stamp and trimmed right selvedge and wmk inverted, showing variety 'Double Impression', formerly SG 226a, indistinct cancel and a few shortish perfs at top and left. Positioning of the watermark shows this stamp to be from the same sheet as the previous lot. 2000 RPSV Certificate
