Lot 136		Estimate: $300 Realised Price : $360 c1892 (1 Jun) cover-front Gunnedah to Wellington, New Zealand franked block of four 12½d on 1/- DLR, strip of four 7½d on 6d DLR, strip of three ½d on 1d DLR and pair and single of the 2½d Allegorical representing a staggering 43 times the inter-colonial rate plus 3d registration. Almost certainly the highest rated postal article of the Australian States. Few peripheral faults though an extraordinary and extremely rare franking with only 5 examples of the 12½d on 1/- DLR on cover recorded and this the only multiple. SG Cat approx £2000
