    1862-69 De La Rue issues 1d Die Proofs (2, each in Black and Red) both on glazed card (92 x 60 mm) the latter with slight peripheral toning and 2d Cut-down Progressive Die Proofs in Black (4) on glazed card showing hair and upper spandrels incomplete, stop after 'PENCE', no stop after 'PENCE' and as issued with hair and Diadem lightened. Majority fine (6)

    1871-84 Wmk Crown over NSW (I) 2d Pale Blue Perf 13 showing variety 'TWO PENCE' doubled at right due to a shift in the decoupage; singles used on separate 1877 and 1878 covers to Sydney (one uncancelled) and a pair used on 1877 (29 Nov) mourning cover Sydney to Wagga Wagga with RPSL Certificate (1986). Mostly fine (3 covers)

(Cat £180) and Mauve perf 11 marginal large part o.g (Cat £225), 20/- Carrington Wmk 5/- mint perfectly centred with full gum (Cat £450), 1890 20/- Carrington perf 10 well-centred large part o.g (Cat £350), 1905 6d Deep Orange perf 11 mint (2 - Cat £550), 1907 8d marginal mint block and 'OS' on 8d blocks of 12 and four (Cat £352+). The majority fine and an excellent opportunity (few hundred)

    c1892 (1 Jun) cover-front Gunnedah to Wellington, New Zealand franked block of four 12½d on 1/- DLR, strip of four 7½d on 6d DLR, strip of three ½d on 1d DLR and pair and single of the 2½d Allegorical representing a staggering 43 times the inter-colonial rate plus 3d registration. Almost certainly the highest rated postal article of the Australian States. Few peripheral faults though an extraordinary and extremely rare franking with only 5 examples of the 12½d on 1/- DLR on cover recorded and this the only multiple. SG Cat approx £2000

    1891 3d Green Diadem Wmk '10' pair from the edge of sheet with large imperf margin at right tied by ray numerals on front and part back 1892 (27 May) cover from Moulamein to Prague (scarce destination).
