    Lot 1307
    Estimate: $12,000 Realised Price : $12,000

    1858 (17 Feb) registered entire Warwick to Ipswich bearing 1d, 2d (2) and 3d Diadems plus (6d) bicoloured Registered stamp. The face with 'REGISTERED/ WARWICK' handstamp and rear with Warwick and Ipswich cds. The adhesives with variable margins, faint horizontal crease and two pinholes at left though a probably the finest franking of the Moreton Bay District. Major exhibition item, ex 'Manwood' BPA cert (2002)

    Estimate: $3,000 Realised Price : $6,000

    1859 (22 Feb) cover Sardinia to Gladstone franked pair 40c brick-red King Victor Emmanuel II margins good to cut into and tied with two strikes of a Nizza-Mara cds and additionally struck with the unframed 'P.P.' (paid to port) handstamp. The rear with Genoa, Malta, Maryborough and Gladstone cds. Extraordinary origin/destination in the Moreton Bay District period and very fine

    Estimate: $7,500

    1860 (1 Sep) registered large-part entire Warwick to Tenterfield bearing perforated 1/- Diadem and (6d) bicoloured Registered stamp both cancelled with light ray type numeral '81' and the face bearing 'REGISTERED/WARWICK'. The rear with Warwick, Maryland (transit) and Tenterfield arrival cds. Address partially removed though an extraordinary sextuple registered cover and very rare use of the perforated Registered stamp in the Moreton Bay District. Ex Frankenstein

     

    Lot 1310
    Estimate: $120 Realised Price : $90

    1868 (26 Sep) cover Brisbane to Sydney franked 6d Yellow-green Chalon, and 1873 (30 Jul) cover Cunnamulla to New South Wales via Brisbane and Sydney franked 3d brown Chalon. Flap faults on both but an attractive duo (2)
