1862-67 Proof block of 108 of the recently discovered 1d Indian Red sent from the Colonial Secretary's Office to Perkins, Bacon & Co. on 17th January 1863 with an order for new paper. On reverse is a rough sketch of the watermark required 'QUEENSLAND - POSTAGE STAMPS - STAMPS' in three lines of script capital, stamps cancelled with pen lines in corrosive black ink. Some creasing, tears etc. The largest known piece from a sheet of 240 for the Ham issues. [See P de Worms, P.B. Records Vol I at pp211-213]
