Campbell & Co: 1d Rose, SG 23a, typical dull shade, pair with full margins cancelled by Barred Oval '1', slight crease in second unit, small separation in vertical gutter between. Kellow states 'some two dozen used examples have been identified, of which pairs are the only multiples'. 2006 Perry Certificate

Campbell & Co.: 3d Blue Retouched, SG 24a, Type [19] secondary retouch showing redrawing of 'EN' of 'PENCE', cancelled by Barred Oval '19' of Hamilton, large margins, faint crease. Ex Caspary, Forster, Perry. The addressee, James Tyson, was amongst the very wealthiest in the Australian Colonies. On his death in 1898 he held 5,329,214 acres and left an estate of 2,000,000
