    Estimate: $300 Realised Price : $230

    1/- Lyrebird and 3d KGVI used on front of registered cloth bag, cancelled ''AUST. ARMY BASE P.O./215'' June 1947, and sent to Port Pirie (S.A.). Also affixed is a Parcel Post Customs Declaration form indicating the bag contained a vase valued at 10/-. 1/3d represented the forces concession rate for a 2-3lb parcel, plus 3d registration fee. Few small faults, but an exceptional commercial BCOF usage. BE cat for 1/- on cover is AU$150

    2/- Kangaroo used with 3d KGVI on registered parcel tag cancelled ''AUST. UNIT POSTAL STN./497'' (Kure) to Prospect (S.A.), paying the 2/3d rate comprising 1/9d forces concession parcel rate (8-11lb) plus 6d registration fee. The tag unfortunately cut in half and rejoined, but a rare commercial use of the 2/- stamp. BW cat AU$300 on cover

    5/- Robes Thin Paper cancelled ''No. 8 AUST. BASE P.O./C'' datestamp on 1949 (28 Jan) cover to Sydney, with handstruck ''H.M.A. SHIP'' in violet. A philatelic usage, nevertheless scarce. BW cat AU$750 on cover
