'8/6' representing total franking present and indicating the tag was associated with an article weighing 12lbs 6ozs (or 198ozs). Sent at Commercial Papers rate (1d per 2oz = 99d + 3d registration, total 8/6d). The record franking for this perforation, even more remarkable in that the stamps are well centred
