    1914 (Feb) registered cover to Boston bearing 1d and Queensland 1/- paying 2oz letter rate + 3d registration to USA, overpaid by 1d, black/red Sydney label, framed U.S. customs cachet, arrival backstamps

    1915 (Jun) envelope fashioned from Official Military form (foxed), endorsed '1st Australian Div/In Action', Censor handstamp upper right superimposed over which is '1ST AUST.DIV. FIELD P.O' cds then in use at Gallipoli, remarkably addressed to Fiji where backstamped upon arrival (10 AUG 15). Extraordinary item from this legendary Campaign
