1939 (23 Nov) and (25 Nov) censored (both with Egyptian censor tape at sides) covers from Genoa, Italy both to Port Said, the first by airmail and bearing 50c & 1L25c adhesives and redirected to Sydney (b/s). The front with framed 'Not Known by Postmen/ CASTLEREAGH STREET' with completed spaces for postmens’ signatures on each of the six days delivery attempts were made before succeeding. The other franked 2L75c & 75c adhesives and re-directed to Colombo and then re-directed to Sydney (b/s). A few peripheral faults although both illustrating considerable efforts to find the addressee (2) |
