Belcher at Entebbe, Uganda, from his brother Norman, bearing rare 'On Active Service/NO STAMPS/AVAILABLE' adhesive label tied by two strikes of 'AUSTRALIAN.IMP.FORCES/BASE/POST OFFICE' datestamp, backstamped Alexandria, Mombasa, Entebbe. The addressee (later 'Sir Charles') was a Victorian who joined the British Colonial Service and became Conveyancer to the Govt of Uganda. This cover is illustrated on p249 in ‘British Empire Campaigns and Occupations in the Near East 1914-1924’ by John Firebrace
