    Range of George V unused Post Office issues, with 1d Red Sideface, 'Star' Embossed 1d Red (2), 1d Black-brown, 1d Brown (2, one with d adhesive affixed), 1d Green, 1d Red, 2d Orange, and Oval Embossed 1d Red, 'TWO/PENCE' on 1d Red, 2d Red (5, various stocks). Very fine (16)

    1918-1928 used accumulation of 'Star' Embossed George V PO envelopes, with 1d Brown (4), 2d Orange No 'POSTAGE' (37) and 'POSTAGE'(2), 2d Red (58), 1d on 2d Red (7), 1d Green (5), 1d Red (101), 2d on 1d Red (2, cat AU$200 each), and Oval Embossed George V 1d Red (6), 2d on 1d Red (6) and 2d Red (6). Various dies and envelope stocks are represented, and including uprated and overseas usages. Many are used within or from the Rev. Graebner (SA) accumulation, and there is considerable postmark interest. Some roughly opened or with other faults and a few are fronts only, but condition generally good (234)

    1916-1919 1d Red 'Star' Embossed PO envelopes, a used accumulation, with representation of the various dies and envelope stocks, some uprated with adhesives, many from the Rev. Graebner (SA) inwards and outwards correspondence, and with considerable postmark interest. Some roughly opened or slightly reduced, but condition generally good. Unusual in this quantity (79)

    1920-24 George V 'Star' Embossed Post Office envelopes cancelled-to-order for U.P.U. distribution, comprising 2d Orange (BW EP21w), 2d Red (EP23(1)w), 1d on 2d Red (EP26w), and 1d Red (EP28(1)w (2, one with 'SPECIMEN' receiving authority handstamp applied in Bechuanaland, but the envelope unfortunately spoiled by an offset of a registration envelope as a result of poor storage conditions).     1953-56 3d Red QEII Embossed, both sizes used on first day of issue cancelled at G.P.O. Sydney and addressed to Hayward Parish (the NSW Distributor of Stamps), 145 x 90mm dated 2 SE 53, and 132 x 108mm dated 28 OC 53 (unlisted by BW, which states date of issue to be early November). Also 1956 4d Plum Embossed with G.P.O. first day of issue cancel (18 OC 56), and 1959 5d Dark Blue Embossed cancelled first day of issue (1 OCT 59) and addressed (4)

    1974 7c Magenta QEII Embossed 'Little Letters' sold by Post Office in packs of 5, one unused, and two used examples cancelled Camberwell 30 September 1974 and Melbourne 16 June 1975, plus an example of the note paper sold with the envelopes, and the original pack (toning). Relatively few of these envelopes were used (2)

    Envelopes: 1930 1d Green + 1d Green George V Oval Embossing stamped-to-order on Texas Company window envelope, used at Melbourne 1 October 1930 (the earliest known date). The envelope has been somewhat roughly opened, but scarce. BW E66, cat AU$1000

    Envelopes: 1933 2d Red + 3d Blue George V Sideface used stamped-to-order cut-out from Hobart Savings Bank registered envelope, the 3d impression damaged at lower left. The Brusden-White catalogue records three cut-outs dated between 1935 and 1938, this piece is a new discovery cancelled by the REGISTERED/HOBART' cds 24 MAR 42. BW ES18, cat AU$500 for cut-outs

    Military Envelopes: 1916-1919 group of 1d Military Envelopes, comprising 'AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCE' 1st setting (ME1) mint (somewhat grubby); 'A.I.F., ABROAD' 1st setting used from Campbelltown (Tas) with pencil endorsement indicating the addressee was a prisoner-of-war (minor peripheral damage, and stamp impression damaged at top left), 2nd setting mint (3, one addressed but not posted); 'AUSTRALIAN IMPERIAL FORCE, ABROAD' 1st setting mint. BW cat AU$1900 (6)

    1916-1928 accumulation of 'Star' Embossed George V stamped-to-order envelopes, comprising 1d Red (12, various dies), 1d Violet (5), 1d Green (7), 1d Black-brown (9, various dies), 1d Brown (10), 1d Green (10), 1d Red (11, 5 unused), 2d Orange (9,one unused), and 2d Red (4). Many different users represented, and some uprated for heavy or overseas use. Some with faults, mostly minor, but a very useful group rarely offered in this quantity, high catalogue value (77)

    1928-37 accumulation of Oval Embossed George V stamped-to-order envelopes, comprising 1d Green (31, 12 are fronts only), 1d Red (9, one unused, and one a front only), 2d on 1d Red (6), 2d Red (20, two unused). Also 1d Red 'OS' in die used by Treasury, Canberra. Many different users represented, some uprated for airmail or overseas usage, few with faults but condition generally good (67)

    1916-18 d Green 'Star' Embossed, stamped-to-order group with various shades, comprising Australian Drug Co. (2, both with '20 POSTED' handstamp in violet), Vacuum Oil Co., Barrow Brothers, Rocke, Tompsitt & Co. (with '20 POSTED' in violet), and Howard Smith Ltd. (222 x 96mm), the last three users unrecorded in BW. Generally very fine and a scarce group. BW No. ES25, cat AU$1200 (6)

    1916-1918 d Green 'Star' Embossed stamped-to-order envelopes on stock similar to that used for the Post Office envelopes prepared for U.P.U. distribution, but without any user identification and almost certainly for the Evangelical Lutheran Synod in Victoria, comprising superb unused in yellow-green shade, and three uprated examples in dull green shade, with 1d and 2d rates to Rev Graebner in Unley (SA) (one taxed but with postage due removed), and a 1d rate to Rev Darsow in Toowoomba, Qld. Very fine and a scarce group BW ES25, cat AU$800 (4)
