Lot 135		Estimate: $250 Realised Price : $280 1852 Recess Printed by Thomas Ham: 2d Chestnut [10], SG 18a, full-margined, lightly cancelled by rare Barred Oval '12' Maiden's Punt, tiny thin at left mostly in margin. This shade is rare (Kellow records only 15 examples), suggesting that it may be of colour trial status - known examples range from pale to deep chestnut. The catalogue value of £120 misleads as to its rarity
