    Bulgaria: 1938 (4 Nov) commercial airmail advertising cover to Victoria, franked 55l for ½oz airmail rate via Greece, adhesives tied by Poste Aerienne-Sofia datestamp, backstamped Athens and on arrival at Melbourne. Rare origin/destination

    Dodecanese Islands: 1939 (Apr-Dec) airmail covers (roughly opened) from same correspondence Castelrosso to Adelaide, franked at 5.50l and 4.75l respectively, latter censored at Melbourne on arrival 16 Jan 1940. Extraordinary origin/destination

    Fiji: 1936 (28 Nov) commercial airmail cover (opened two sides) Suva to UK where redirected, bearing attractive and scarce franking of KGV 5d, ½d, 2d and 1/- for short-lived 1/7½d ½oz airmail rate

    France: 1934 (17 Sep) registered cover originating at Valence bearing rare franking incl 1926-27 War Orphan's Fund 50c + 10c pair and 5f + 1f, endorsed 'Londres - Australie/per Sir Alan Cobham/Via Londres', carried by Cobham in his Airspeed Courier on the 22 Sep 1934 failed attempt to fly non-stop England - India, backstamps of Pondicherry (2, and on front, arrival 30 Sep), Madras (3), Bombay (2) and returned to France (Bouchet - 3 Dec), minor cover blemishes not detracting from this spectacular exhibition item
