[42-43] small margins two sides and clear or just touching at left and bottom, cancelled legible ‘6’ of St. Mary’s (rated RRR). A major New South Wales rarity in very fine condition. Two pairs are recorded of this error, of which this is by far the finer. It is probable that the pair offered here is the one first recorded as being shown at a meeting of The Philatelic Society of Australia in 1888, and was later in the C.L. Pack collection.
