    Postal History: 1935 (22 Feb) intact parcel tag from Wau bearing extraordinary franking of Undated Bird Air issues including £1 block of four (a little wrinkled, though sound and which catalogues £330+ as used stamps alone). A rare survivor from gold shipment ex Wau Goldfields

    Postal History: 1943 (May-Jun) covers (3 - original enclosures) from same correspondence to Sydney at 1d surface and 3d airmail (2, one stamp lost) rates, cancelled by rare 'UNIT POSTAL STATION/A.P.1' datestamp showing a swan and boomerang, in use at Merauke, the earliest a particularly good strike in violet
