    Crimson-lake horizontal strip of four pos. [11-14] on 1851 (29 Sep) entire from Tarcutta to Albury. The strip is superb with full margins all round and neatly cancelled with ‘48’ numerals. Faint horizontal and vertical filing folds do not detract at all. Reverse with superb Tarcutta crowned oval despatch datestamp, and legible Albury arrival datestamp of SE 30 1851. Two covers are recorded bearing strips of four of the 1d Plate II Sydney View, of which this is the finest. From the Dr. W.P. Heslop and Dr. W.R.D. Wiggins collection, and one of the gems of the ‘Carrington’ collection. A magnificent cover

    Dull Carmine block of four pos. [19-20/24-25] on unusually thick bluish paper clear to good margins all round lightly cancelled by two strikes of numeral obliterator. Four used blocks of four are recorded of the 1d Sydney View in private hands, two from Plate I and two from Plate II. The block offered here is the finer of the two Plate II examples, and is from the C.L. Pack and Dale-Lichtenstein collections. Very attractive and of great rarity
