2½d Indigo, SG 87, vertical \'abc\' strip of three, upper two units unmounted, lower unit hinge remain. Undoubtedly the greatest item of the NWPI overprints, if not all of New Guinea. Remarkably, each unit in this strip is far superior in condition to the single examples sold in 2007 and 2008 for AU$26450 and AU$35650 respectively. We believe that a mint strip has not been offered at auction since 1977 (in the U.K.), and that an example has never before been offered at auction in Australia. A once in a generation opportunity. 1966 BPA Certificate
