    1929 3d Green Airmail handstamped 'SPECIMEN' (18x3mm) in Violet, from Melbourne G.P.O. display board. Several small thins and no gum, but very rare with only 2 or 3 recorded examples
    [Note: This stamp was originally affixed to a board inscribed 'CURRENT STAMP ISSUES.' which is believed to have been on display at the Melbourne G.P.O. in the 1930s. Colour photocopy of 2004 Ceremuga Certificate (which illustrates the board intact) accompanies the lot.]

    1931 Kingsford Smith set affixed to separate pieces and handstamped 'Especimen' in bluish-black, ex Goa UPU archive. The 2d with a couple of trimmed perfs, otherwise fine and very attractive (3)

    1931 Kingsford Smith 2d and 3d optd 'OS' blocks of four (2d marginal and 3d corner) with 'G.P.O./MELBOURNE' CTO cancels, full unmounted gum. Fine and scarce (8)

    1931 6d Sepia Airmail handstamped 'SPECIMEN' (18x3mm) in Violet, from Melbourne G.P.O. display board. Several short perfs at base, otherwise fine no gum and very rare, with only 2 or 3 recorded examples

    1934 Victorian Centenary Perf 10½ set CTO affixed to two pieces with 'SPECIMEN' receiving handstamp, ex Goa UPU archive. The 2d with corner perf fault, otherwise fine and rare (3). 2004 Drury Certificate

    1934 Victoria Centenary Perf 10½ set from Melbourne G.P.O. display board, 2d and 1/- with 'COMMONWEALTH AUDITOR' handstamp in Violet, and 3d with 'SPECIMEN' handstamp (18x3mm) in Violet. 2d and 1/- with a few perf faults but very scarce (3)

    c.1930s Specimen Set in folder comprising 65 stamps CTO (£1 and £2 CofA Wmk Type D 'SPECIMEN') with issues up to 1934 Victoria Centenary. A few stamps are not original (e.g. 5/- SHB no gum, 6d Kookaburra hinged, SPECIMEN opts should not be CofA Wmk), otherwise generally fine and still with the (now tatty) original manilla envelope handstamped 'Distributor of Stamps/G.P.O. Adelaide' in which the folder was originally sold

    1934 Macarthur Centenary CTO set (2d light hills) affixed to pieces and with 'SPECIMEN' receiving handstamp in green (faint on 2d), ex Goa UPU archive (3). 2004 Drury Certificate
