    AUSTRALIAN COLONIES, TASMANIA, CIRCULAR DATESTAMPS

    Lot 362
    Estimate: $200T Realised Price : $170

    Circular Datestamps: Study of Hobart datestamps on Pictorials (largely 1d and 2d), many mounted on pages, showing the various types (State and Commonwealth) and code letters, generally good to fine and a comprehensive collection (approx 440)

         

    Lot 363
    Estimate: $500T Realised Price : $420

    Circular Datestamps: Extensive study of Launceston datestamps 1902-12 on Pictorial issues, largely 1d and 2d values and mostly mounted on pages or hagners, with a detailed classification of the types, and their code letters, with much duplication to indicate the periods of use. Generally good to fine condition and a collection that would take a lot of patience to replicate (approx 1100)

            

    Lot 364
    Estimate: $1,200T

    Circular Datestamps: Extensive mounted collection on Pictorial issues, mostly 1d and 2d, but with a smattering of other values to 6d, offices from Abbotsham to Zeehan East with much duplication, including different types from the same office. None of the rarities are present, but there are 295 post offices represented, including 86 rated R and 6 rated RR. In addition there are 21 covers or postcards. A fine collection to use as the basis for expansion (approx 2100 stamps plus 21 covers)

    Estimate: $600T

    Circular Datestamps: Smaller collection of CDS on Pictorials (mainly 1d and 2d) ranging from Daniels Bay to Zeehan, either one or two examples of each post office and mostly neatly mounted on pages, no major rarities but including R (118) and RR (5) ratings, approx 280 post offices represented. Generally fine strikes and a good starter collection for further expansion (approx 620)

              

    Lot 366
    Estimate: $250T

    Circular Datestamps: LIENA (corrected spelling) MY 7 12 fair strike on 1d Pictorial on small piece, rated RRR+

     

    Lot 367
    Estimate: $120T

    Duplex Cancellations: Small collection of Hobart and Launceston on Sideface issues, mostly 1d and 2d values on pieces. Wide range of types and code letters represented, generally fine and a good basis for further expansion (approx 260)

          

    Lot 368
    Estimate: $250T Realised Price : $260

    Pillar Receiver Datestamps: Large collection mounted on pages of Hobart and Launceston 'P-R' (Pillar Receiver) datestamps on 1d and 2d Pictorials (plus a few ½d), all the various types represented with a special study made of the code letters used, two picture postcards used from Launceston included. Condition generally very good to fine, and an exceptional study (approx 600)

          

    Lot 369
    Estimate: $200T Realised Price : $150

    Circular Datestamps: Mounted 'date' collection of Hobart and Launceston datestamps on 1d and 2d Pictorials (plus 4 x ½d) attempting to show every date of 1900 and 1901, the dates shown range from 10 January 1900 to 31 December 1901, all very fine strikes and about 70% complete (400+)
