    1908 1d American Fleet Postcard, slight wear at corners, and slight soiling, otherwise fine unused

     

    Lot 22
    Estimate: $80 Realised Price : $105

    Lettercards: 1909 (5 Oct) 2d Mauve Lettercard (H&G 5) 'MOUNT IDA AND LAKE ST. CLAIR - FROM NORTH SHORE' view, used from Sheffield to Launceston, fine. (The same view was used on Commonwealth 1d Kangaroo lettercards)

      

    Lot 23
    Estimate: $400T

    Registration Envelopes: 1883 Unframed 'R' 4d Blue Size F (Ingles No. R1a, H&G C1) and Size G (Ingles No. R1b, H&G C1b), two unused examples of each showing different sub-types, very fine and largely without the usual wrinkles that are so typical of this issue. Only 2000 Size F and 1000 Size G envelopes were printed (4)

      

    Lot 24
    Estimate: $1,200T Realised Price : $2,200

    Registration Envelopes: 1909 (Jan 29) commercial usage of (3d) Pale Blue size 100 x 64mm to Deal, England with 2d Pictorial cancelled Hobart cds, and with experimental blue registration label with large 'R', reverse with 'REGISTERED/ LONDON transit and 'REGISTERED' arrival datestamps. Despite some soiling, this is the earliest recorded usage of the Hobart label, introduced on 1/10/1908, and a rare usage of this registration envelope, which was the smallest size used by any British Empire administration

    Registration Envelopes: 1909 (21 Jul) usage of 4d Ultramarine size 130 x 78mm with straight cut below flap (Ingles No. R4b, H&G No. C5a), to Wilcox Smith & Co. in New Zealand, 1d Pictorial and 1½d on 5d Surcharge pair tied by New Norfolk cds and with experimental Hobart blue registration label with large 'R', 'REGISTERED/HOBART' transit cds and poor Dunedin arrival cds on reverse

     

    Lot 26
    Estimate: $400T Realised Price : $300

    Registration Envelopes: 1910 philatelic usage of (3d) Ultramarine size 227 x 101mm bearing ½d, 1d, 2d, 2½ and 3d Pictorials, 2½d Tablet and 1½d on 5d Surcharge cancelled Hobart cds MR 24 (no year slug), Hobart experimental registration label in blue with large 'R', addressed to Hamburg, Germany with arrival ds on reverse. Few minor wrinkles however very attractive
