    1855 (9 Mar) cover Ballarat to Scotland 'per James Bai(n)' bearing 'Woodblock' 6d (2) tied by barred oval, handstruck '6', mss. 'Missent to Bonar Bridge' in red with 'Bridge' on adhesives, various backstamps, minor soiling. This cover was carried on the inaugural sailing under the mail contract as P&O and GSS Co. ships were requisitioned for the Crimean War
