Watt, M.P. Very fine example of this famous flight, No. 353 in Tom Frommer's census, with Longhi Certificate (1999)

    1933 (3 Dec) Australia - New Zealand 'Faith in Australia' flight postcard carried by Ulm, Allen and Bolton, subsequently re-used on 1940 (30 Apr) TEAL first flight, very fine. Eustis No. 900a, which states that 100 postcards were reused in this manner

    1939 (27 Apr) and (22 Jun) covers from Charing Cross (NSW) to Minneapolis, Minnesota franked 3d blue KGVI for surface rate, with pair of U.S. 3c commemoratives added for internal U.S. air mail, cancelled at San Pedro (Calif). Plus 1939 (30 Mar) cover from the same correspondence with 3d Blue and U.S. 3c definitive pair and 10c special delivery all cancelled at Charing Cross, with 'Special Delivery - Air Mail' handstamp and boxed 'NOT ELIGIBLE FOR.AERIAL MAIL FEE/DEFICIENT./SYDNEY NO. 2' both in violet. Few cover creases but an interesting trio (3 covers)

    1940 (23 Apr) scarce commercial airmail postcard ('Maori Children Bathing in Thermal Pool Rotorua NZ' entrant in 1st TEAL New Zealand - Australia flight (AAMC 899), correct 3d rate, sender requesting recipient reply in 'Esperanto'

    1945 (Nov-Dec) airmail covers to the same addressee in Holland bearing various types of London rectangular 'O.A.T.' handstamps, Heifetz Types XI and XII, latter scarce and also with Dutch label affixed, a little roughly handled. Nice duo for exhibit page (2)
