Each with triple oval 'COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA/NOTE PRINTING BRANCH/FITZROY, VICT.' cachet in violet on reverse. 100 of each were prepared, but relatively few survive. (2)

Lot 430		Estimate: $10,000 Realised Price : $7,500 1946 Sir Thomas Mitchell 2½d, 3½d and 1/- presentation die proofs in issued colours in sunken mounts affixed on blue-green card folders. Only five sets of die proofs were prepared, one of which is in the Royal Philatelic Collection. Fresh and superb, and a rarely offered set.
