    1944 (21 Feb) unstamped cover to N.S.W. with good strike of 'R.A.F. P.O./004', in use in Portuguese Azores, R.A.F. Censor, flap endorsed by RAAF F/O.W.J. Youll, with accompanying 1965 letter from Francis J. Field attesting rarity. (A small contingent of RAAF were seconded for a few weeks as part of Battle of the Atlantic defences at Terceira Is, Azores)

    1945 Australian Forces registered airmail cover to Tasmania bearing 3d pair tied by fine 'AUST ARMY P.O./17OC45/239' cds in use at Labuan, handstamped registration details at left with manuscript 'APO/239', backstampings including very fine Morotai 'No 6 AUST BASE P.O./D'. Registered mail is very scarce
