    1953-1965 varied assortment of definitive issues on hagners, with 1953 block of 4 on PMG FDC, 1954 3d on service rate airmail covers (2), 1953 3½d publicity photo of artwork, 1955-57 issue various blocks including varieties, publicity photos, 1963 5d Green part imperf pieces from booklet plate, 1965 5d Red large quantity of blocks, panes and sheets including plate varieties. Virtually all mint and generally very fine (many 100s plus 6 covers)

    Group of Post Office Publicity Cards, all with faults and/or staining, comprising 1953 1d QEII, 1953 3d Tasmanian Stamp Centenary, 3½d Red Cross Centenary, 1954 Cobb & Co (2) and 1955 3½d YMCA Anniversary. BW cat AU$1200

    1953 Produce Food 3d and 3½d se-tenant strips of 3 presentation 'die proofs' in issued colours (actually imperforate stamps) in sunken mounts, with Note Printing cachets on reverse endorsed '6/23-1-53' (presented to Sir Daryl Lindsay of the Stamp Advisory Committee). Eight pairs of die proofs were prepared, one pair of which is in the Royal Philatelic Collection. A few tone spots on 3d Beef, otherwise fresh and superb and a rarely offered set. BW 287/8/9DP(1) and 290/1/2/DP(1), cat AU$18000 (2)

    1953-56 3½d Brown-red QEII Definitive reconstructed booklet plate of 576 in two panes on 288 (each comprising four panels of 48 - A to F at left and G to L at right), mounted (hinged) on two large boards. The reconstruction is based on the sequence of panes in booklets as supplied in packs to post offices. Very few such reconstructions exist (576)

    1955 Presentation Booklet 'With the Compliments of the Director-General Posts and Telegraphs' containing 19 leaves (bound with cord) with printed descriptions of each stamp issue from 1952 2/6d Aborigine to 1955 2/- Green Olympic Games Publicity (similar, but of smaller format, to the Post Office Publicity Cards), and each with stamps affixed, mostly in pairs. Not seen by us before

    1959-64 6d Banded Anteater solo franking on Radio Australia postcard from Melbourne to Indonesia, undeliverable and with various Indonesian instructional marks, plus D.L.O. Melbourne pointing finger and boxed 'RETURN TO SENDER' in red. Very attractive, and a scarce solo franking. BW cat AU$150

    1959-94 1/2d Tasmanian Tiger used on 1962 (8 Dec) picture postcard from Mascot (NSW) to Dundee, Scotland tied by machine cancellation. Few tone spots, a scarce solo usage

    1959-64 1/- Platypus and 2/3d Wattle on 'Royal' FDC, the 2/3d variety 'Oblique Line Through Right Side of T of WATTLE', BW 368f cat AU$400 as stamp. Very rare on cover

    1962 Perth Games 2/3d on 1963 double airmail rate commercial covers (2) to U.K., comprising pair and combination with 2/3d Royal Visit, scarce and attractive duo (2)

    1963 5d Blue Mountains Die Proof in issued colour on thick paper (66mm x 53mm) with cut corners, fine and superb. This does not appear to be printed on stamp paper and may not therefore be a 'liberated' presentation die proof, but rather a previously unrecorded proof from a different source.
