    Australia used in: 1945-52 mostly registered covers addressed locally, to Australia or NZ, range of rates and frankings, with cds of Sohano, Port Moresby, Buin, Kieta, Buka Passage, Rabaul and Relief No.2 (used at Buin), also two stampless covers. Mixed condition (15)

    Australia used in: 1945 (10 Dec) and 1946 (1 May) registered covers from Abau to Australia, both cancelled with temporary cds 'P.M.G'S DEPT.C.1/QLD-AUST', one in violet (cover reduced, with provisional registration label) and the other in black (with permanent registration label). Also, 1949 (28 May) unclaimed cover Buin to New Zealand, boxed 'NOT KNOWN/BY POSTMEN/CHRISTCHURCH, NZ' struck in violet and Port Moresby DLO label affixed
