Lot 1509		Estimate: $250 Realised Price : $550 1946 (30 Sep) airmail cover to Port Moresby from East Gosford (NSW) with 2½d pair tied by cds, underpaid ½d for 5½d airmail rate, and manuscript 'T 1D' added in pencil, on arrival an Australian 1d Brown-purple Queen Elizabeth was affixed and cancelled by double oval 'POST OFFICE/PORT MORESBY P.N.G.' ds in purple. Very fine, and a rare use of a postage stamp to indicate postage due in the early post-war period
Lot 1510		Estimate: $100 1948 (12 Feb) cover to Sydney with Australian 5½d Emu tied by Kawieng (?) cds, handstruck 'DEFICIENT POSTAGE TAX' in violet with manuscript '6d', and with 1946-56 Redrawn Value Plates 3d pair tied by Sydney cds. Scarce
Lot 1511		Estimate: $300 1952 (15 Jan) cover to St. Lucia with Australian ½d Kangaroo pair tied by Bulolo datestamp, and with 'INSUFFICIENTLY/PREPAID', St. Lucia 4c and 16c postage dues affixed tied by Vieux-Fort cds. Probably philatelic but a scarce and unusual usage
