    1891 (7th Sep) deficiently paid to Brindisi bearing 1d pair and d tied by '209' of Great Western, circled 'T' with mss. 3d, and in crayon '7d=to pay', Postage Dues 10c and 30c on 2c pair affixed and tied on arrival, transit and arrival backstamps. [Victoria joined the U.P.U. on 1st October 1891 when the uniform 2d rate was introduced].

    1904 (19th Nov) unstamped cover printed for 'Fred Walsh, Patent and Trade-Mark Attorney' used Melbourne to Broadford, 'T1D.' in oval, 1d Postage Due affixed and tied by datestamp on arrival. Attractive example of deficient postage on printed matter item.
