    1845 entire letter headed 'Glen Esk No 3 1845' addressed to 'Macquarie River/Nr. Ross', rated '2' in black for use of local country rate. This is the only example of a pre-stamp entire at the provincial rate from any town other than Campbell Town

    1856 (6th Aug) "Leake" cover to Rosedale 'FREE' handstamp in red, contents to John Leake from Governor Young requesting 'Queen's pardon for convict...' and also states 'I feel persuaded that the Upper House will supply a seat for you & that so natural & proper choice will be made without requiring any canvass or active step on your part'. Important historical document
