Lot 170		Frank Stamps: 'COMMANDANT LOCAL FORCES' handstamped in blue on 1882 (22 May) envelope cancelled Emerald Hill '148' duplex, with 'HEAD QUARTERS. Victoria Barracks' imprint at lower left and embossed crest in red on flap (S&W #E30), minor defects, rated RR. (The embossing in red is actually superimposed on colourless 'VICTORIA/'crown', the only such double embossing known to us)
Lot 171		Frank Stamps: 1898 envelope (120 x 98mm with embossed Arms in red on flap) with 'GOVERNOR OF VICTORIA' handstruck frank in violet, used locally in Melbourne; and 1901 (22 Apr) mourning envelope (133 x 120mm with embossed Arms in black on flap) with 'GOVERNOR GENERAL/AUSTRALIA' handstruck frank in blue, used locally in Melbourne.
