    1854 Imperforate 1/- Blue 'Octagonal' with variety 'Retouch below "IL" of SHILLING'. Scarce

    1855 (31 Mar) entire to England bearing 'REGISTERED' 1/- rose-pink and blue, SG 34, margins three sides, rare single franking with framed 'PAID AT/ MARYBOROUGH' in red, and manuscript '1/-' denoting prepayment in cash of the ½oz rate. On arrival manuscript '1/6' due from recipient, comprising 1/- inwards packet letter charge plus 6d registration fee. Few solo covers recorded

    1867-71 Laureated 8d Red-Brown on Pink, SG 137c, fresh mint block of four, tiny perf separation at left , this being the finest of the three known blocks with the block in the Royal collection being of a different shade

    1884 (12 Mar) 2/- Blue/Green 'STAMP STATUTE' on registered cover (opened out) to Ireland tied by double-oval 'REGISTERED/MELBOURNE' datestamp, another alongside, London transit in red and hexagonal '10/REGISTERED /DUBLIN/AP23' on reverse, minor edge blemishes, otherwise a very rare franking on cover. [Cover is addressed to Captain E.B. Evans, author of 'The Mulready Envelope and its Caricature’]

    1888 (13 Aug) cover to Switzerland bearing 6d Pale Ultramarine, SG 318a, tied by '314' duplex of Lilydale, backstamps of Melbourne, Napoli, Locarno, Devio and straight-line arrival of Linescio, minor blemishes. Scarce village destination
