    1865 (21 Mar) flapless cover to Port Adelaide bearing 1859 Perf 12 by Robinson 2/- Dull Bluish Green/Pale Yellow, SG 82, tied by Melbourne duplex, some staining and tear at top. This is the only single franking used for an intercolonial rate (quadruple) cover we have seen

    1871 (2 Jan) entire letter to London endorsed 'Via Brindisi' bearing 1d and 6d pair tied by Melbourne duplex, London arrival, minor faults although perhaps the most attractive of only six now recorded of the short-lived 1/1d rate via this route. A new discovery
