    4d in Orange, Pale Orange and Yellow-orange shades variety 'Line Through Value' (2R12) with cds cancels (two dated) largely clear of variety BW 110(2)r, cat AU$750 (3)

    4d Orange Plate 2 'CA' monogram corner pair, large part toned gum. BW 110(2)zb, cat AU$1500

    Estimate: $5,000 Realised Price : $4,200

    4d Perforated Colour Trial on thick ungummed unwatermarked paper in Carmine-rose, with manuscript 'E' endorsement on reverse, being a trial for the change of colour from Orange to Violet (see BW catalogue, page 234). This example has resided in the same collection since the early 1970s and represents a new discovery, being the second example recorded in this colour. BW 111PP(1)f, cat A$8,000

    4d Pale Ultramarine solo franking on 1922 (Oct) advertising cover sent from Melbourne to New York

    4d Olive variety 'Watermark Inverted' superb used with portion of Melbourne cds. One of the rarest of all George V inverted watermarks. The BW catalogues recorded three used examples with parcel cancellations. This is an additional example which has been in the same collection since the early 1970s and is undoubtedly the finest of those known. BW 114a, cat AU$30,000
