"Merkur" - some addressed to Balikpapan or Madang), appear mostly average commercial quality (1300+ covers - some containing off cover stamps including 1d Reds). Potential

Centenary on 1939 (31 May) cover flown Sydney to Rabaul on Carpenter Airways flight, signed by pilot R.O. Mant, still very rare on cover
