    1913-1966 cover accumulation, noted 3d KGV 'OS' puncture on 1931 OHMS cover, registered mail, air mails, postcard usage, advertising and illustrated covers, 1947 Postagram cover, and many others, much of it run-of-the-mill, but with some useful pickings (103)

    1916 inwards use of U.S. 2c envelope to a German internee, uprated with Washington 3c Mauve and 6c Orange (2), all with 'ACB/KD' commercial perfins, 'REGISTERED/RETURN RECEIPT DEMANDED' handstamp in purple. adhesives cancelled with 'SYDNEY/11AP{R16/50' datestamps, and with very fine strike of 'LOOSE/SHIP LETTER' handstamp (35½ x 24½mm, 'L' to 'L' = 7½mm, Hoskings 1501, White et al SL18) alongside. With very fine 'CENSORED/DETENTION BARRACKS/TRIAL BAY N.S.W.' handstamp in violet at lower right, light folds from having been carried on person. Believed to be the only known registered cover with an Australian Loose Ship Letter handstamp in this period, and all the more remarkable for the Avis de Reception handstamp

    1930 (23 Jul) envelope endorsed 'Printed Matter Only' to the Netherland Indies posted on board ship with KGV 1d Green tied by Batavia 'PAQUEBOT' boxed cachet (previously recorded in 1935 only) and Soerabaja 'VOLKSTELLING. . . ' slogan cds alongside, batavia '25.7.30' transit on face where re-directed with 'WELTEVREDEN' boxed cachet in red at base, received there on the same day then re-directed to England a few days later, a couple of very minor blemishes

    1932 two inwards covers sent by a member of the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Team addressed to Sydney, the first sent en route from Pago Pago, American Samoa, and the second used July 2 from Los Angeles. Minor faults but unusual. Also the menu for the Olympic Welcome Home Ball. Scarce early Australian Olympic Games material (2 covers)

    1934 booklet presented as a 'Souvenir of Visit to Telegraph Branch, General Post Office, Sydney' on 27 July 1934. Binding partly split down spine and pages loose, but in generally fine condition, and include examples of Picturegrams, Congratulatory Telegram, Christmas & New Years Greeting Telegram and Envelope, and Mother's Day Greeting Envelope, each optd 'SPECIMEN COPY', plus various advertising leaflets.     Express Delivery: 1935-51 4d Express Delivery Fee period, with 1945 cover franked 6½d for letter rate, 1944 airmail covers Brisbane to Sydney (2), 1948 airmail cover Sydney to Melbourne, each franked 9½d, and 1942 registered cover from Sydney to Mt. Victoria franked 9½d. Also 1949(?) cover from Granville to Sydney franked 9d with boxed 'NOT IN ATTENDANCE/?DELIVER ORD. MAIL' in red and 'EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICE/EXPIRED. NORMAL DELIVERY' in violet, and with 'EXPRESS/SYDNEY clock ds in red on reverse. One cover roughly opened and two with flap faults (6)

    1937-51 Return to Sender and other unusual usages annotated on leaves, including EAMS first service registered and to New Zealand (no service), another with 'Delivery Impracticable . . . ' handstamp, 1940 (7 Nov) to AIF abroad with 'Saved From Sea' handstamp and several Return to Sender items, 1954 underpaid air wrapper held for additional postage, 1941 'Received Torn . . . ', 1947 insured food parcel label and a couple of others. Very interesting lot with unique usages (11)

    1937 (24 Nov) airmail cover to Netherlands franked with 1/- Lyrebird and 9d N.S.W. Sesquicentenary tied by Sydney cds, almost complete '[SERV]ICE POSTAL FRANCAIS/Correspondance retardee/par accident d'Avion./Priere de ne pas taxer.' (= 'Delayed in aircraft accident. Pray do not tax') handstamp (Nierinck Type e, cat CHF220 in 1995) in violet, superb 'ENKHUIZEN/15.XII/1937' arrival backstamp. Carried per 'Cygnus' which sank at Brindisi 5 December 1937. The rate was 1/9d for airmail to France, thence by rail. Fine condition

    1942 (16 Dec) meter cover from Commercial Bank of Australia (Melbourne), 1944 (22 Sep) meter cover from Bank of New South Wales (Sydney), and 1944 (20 Dec) cover with 3½d KGVI from Bank of New South Wales (Melbourne), each addressed to Philadelphia and with handstamp in purple or red applied on arrival 'SUPPOSED TO CONTAIN MATTER/SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF/EXECUTIVE ORDER 8389 AS AMENDED'. This Executive Order was signed by President Roosevelt on 10th April 1940 for the Protection of Funds of the Victims of Aggression following the Nazi invasion of Denmark and Norway. Unusual (3 covers)

    Priority Paid Mail: 1970s to 1990s correspondence to a Sydney address featuring a wide range of adhesives to meet the varying rates of the period, mostly from Victoria but other States also represented, wide range of clock markings, some instructional handstamps, also a few Messenger Delivery and Certified Mail covers. Condition varies, but most are good to fine (approx 230 covers)
