Allen, the owner of the painting together with a FDC signed by him, replica card and reproduction die proofs, few other covers, 2d (12), 3d (3), 9d (2) imprint blocks, other 2d positional multiples including some minor plate varieties, range of used with multiples and including 9d (9). Generally fine condition and a useful lot (160M, 44U, 7 covers plus others)

    1946-1959 fairly complete for the period, and as sent to the U.P.U. for specimen purposes, affixed to sheets and annotated in French, believed to be from the Portuguese India U.P.U. set. Majority of the stamps are mint, but most of those in the period 1948 to 1954 are cancelled-to-order, including the 5/-, 10/- and £1 Arms (rarely seen in that form). Some minor damage to the flimsy pages but the stamps are fine, a few AAT and PNG are included (101)
