1971 7c Purple QEII variety 'Violent Corner Retouch' States I and II (extensive recutting to the lower left quarter of the stamp), both fine used with machine cancels. 1981 Australian Aircraft 22c Wackett block of 6 from lower right corner of sheet error 'Yellow Partly Omitted' from the fourth unit, affecting the body and wing of the plane, and second unit with similar error affecting lower right corner of stamp, superb MUH. This type of variety is believed to be caused by the presence of cleaning fluid left on the printing plate which prevents proper inking. A new discovery unrecorded in the BW catalogue
1981 Australian Aircraft 22c Wackett vertical strip of 4 from right side of sheet, the lower unit showing error 'Yellow Partly Omitted', affecting the body and wing of the plane, and second unit with similar error affecting lower right corner of stamp, superb MUH. The error is probably on the same unit as that in the preceding lot, and caused by the presence of cleaning fluid on the printing plate. A new discovery of which this and the previous lot are the only examples known
1990 43c Skateboarding Self-adhesive Roll Stamps letterpress-printed by Pemara, six strips of 3 of the 4 Koala Reprint showing progressive defective cyan printing, with eight stamps showing significant omission of the colour, four with only small traces. Believed to derive from an uncut waste sheet. One strip is that illustrated in the BW catalogue. Most strips with some toning on reverse. 1995 'The World Down Under' 45c Giant Trevally design error 'Misplaced Die-cuts 6mm to the right' used on small piece with machine cancel. Believed to be from a booklet rather than a roll, and showing a small portion of a marginal inscription to the right that is normally trimmed off the booklet panes.
