Lot 133		Estimate: $25,000 1856-60 2d Diadem Plate Proof Sheet of 120 in Black on wove paper with holes punched in positions 11, 12, 24, 36, 73, 97, 104 & 105 to indicate where repairs were required. The reverse bears manuscript notation 'The perforated labels to be renewed as speedily as possibly' and signed and dated by Thomas Richards with a Treasury handstamp of the same day. Heavily creased in places though a unique and extraordinary Exhibition item. Ex Osborne and White. Illustrated in Volume IV of the Robson Lowe Encyclopaedia
