Also 1891 (6 Apr) copy letter from De La Rue to the N.S.W. Agent-General in London re the acceptance of the firm's tender for the paper

    1882-97 Watermark Crown over NSW (II) three pages from the Butler collection, comprising Perf 12 3d mint block of 4 and used (2), 4d used, (cat £200) 6d mint (cat £130) and used, 5d mint (2) and used (4), one mint and used with Watermark Sideways, Perf 10 x 11 3d mint (2) and used (4), Perf 11 x 10 6d used (2), Perf 11 x 12 5d mint (2) and used (3), and Perf 12 x 11 5d mint (2) and used (2). Generally fine. SG cat £550+ (31)

    1882-97 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) Perf 10 3d Yellow-green, marginal example from right imperforate between stamp and margin and with Wmk Inverted, error 'Double Impression'. Fine, cancelled by 1891 cds. A major printing error, formerly SG 226a which has been inexplicably deleted from the catalogue

    1882-97 Wmk Crown over NSW (II) Perf 10 3d Yellow-green, imperforate between stamp and trimmed right selvedge and wmk inverted, showing variety 'Double Impression', formerly SG 226a, indistinct cancel and a few shortish perfs at top and left. Positioning of the watermark shows this stamp to be from the same sheet as the previous lot. 2000 RPSV Certificate

    1897 5/- Coin re-issue Perf 12 x 11 sheet of 50 split between the 7th and 8th columns, and showing the burelage in the left margin. Possibly the only surviving complete sheet. SG 297e, cat £2500+

    1899 ½d Bluish-green, 2½d Prussian Blue and 6d Orange-yellow colour changes overprinted Specimen (McCredie Type 14) part OG, the 6d with a few short perfs. Very scarce (the U.P.U. distribution used CTO stamps), and these three Specimens were absent from the McCredie collection (3)

    1899 U.P.U. Distribution of 1899 ½d Bluish-green, 2½d Prussian Blue and 6d Orange-yellow in vertical (½d, 6d) or horizontal (2½d) strips of 5 as distributed CTO with 'NSW' in concentric ovals and with 'ULTRAMAR' handstamp in blue applied in Lisbon to stamps sent to Portuguese Colonies. One 2½d missing a few perfs at top, otherwise virtually full OG with most units unmounted (15)

    'Specimen' Overprints: Small Range, with 1876 1/- DLR (McCredie Type 5 in red), 1888 Centennial 2d (Type 9), 4d, 6d, 8d, 1/- (Type 8) and 5/- (Type 12), 1891 2½d (Type 8), 1892 ½d (Type 12), 1897 1d (Type 10) and Official 1/- Centennial (Type 8). A few are part OG (somewhat toned) (11)
