    1893 wrapper stamped-to-order with 3d Embossed Stamp Duty in Vermilion, used from Launceston to London, 7 August 1893. Prepared by William Petterd and addressed to a fellow collector, a small number of these wrappers are recorded as having passed through the mails, although the use of the embossed design was not strictly within the regulations. Very scarce, with 1967 RPSL Certificate

Fine and an unusual overseas destination

    OHMS Pre-printed Registration Envelopes: Four different printings of envelopes (137mm x 80mm) for the Treasury, Hobart, each with 'THE TREASURY' frank in black (2), or blue (2), the earliest (19 Jan 1894) with chamfered boxed 'REGISTERED' in red, others with chamfered boxed 'REGISTERED/HOBART' in blue, one on buff unusually used to Melbourne in 1900. Mostly fine (4 covers)

    OHMS Pre-printed Registration Envelopes: 1895 (28 Feb) large envelope (247mm x 122mm) for Money Order Office addressed to the Postmaster at New Norfolk, with 'MONEY ORDER & SAVINGS BANK BRANCH' frank in blue cancelled Hobart duplex, faint 'REGISTERED/HOBART' cachet, also with double oval 'MONEY ORDER OFFICE/& SAVINGS BANK'/HOBART ds in blue at lower left. Vertical fold and some small imperfections from opening, however a very scarce early type

    OHMS Pre-printed Registration Envelopes: Two different printings for the Public Works Department (137mm x 80mm). The first with 'PUBLIC WORKS OFFICE, HOBART' frank used 1896 (4 Jun) from Hobart to Hamilton, and with chamfered boxed 'REGISTERED/HOBART' in blue, very fine. The second (small tear at top and some flap damage) with 5d Pictorial punctured 'T' used 1904 (11 Jul) from Hobart to King Island, with chamfered boxed 'REGISTERED/LAUNCESTON' in blue (2 covers)

Some soiling and small imperfections, but a scarce type with penalty text

    Post Office Stationery: small group of 'REGISTERED MAIL' envelopes for the transfer of registered mail between post offices, with 250mm x 120mm envelopes (2, one opened out with reverse damaged, other 1901 front only addressed to Suva, Fiji with arrival datestamp, 1901 157mm x 127mm (front only) and 153mm x 91mm envelopes to Suva with 'REGISTERED MAIL' crossed through. Also very large (320mm x 225mm) envelope (damaged) used, then opened out and used for a mailing to Tattersalls. Scarce and unusual; material (5 covers)
