Frank Stamps: 'MINISTER OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION' handstamped in blue on 1873-75 (two later) envelopes (three sizes, 137 x 79mm, 222 x 95mm, 265 x 115mm), also two postcards, the majority with filing punch holes and a number roughly opened with flap or other damage, and a few with some soiling. Wide range of uses to mostly country towns, seven are registered, and many are unclaimed with 'D/L/B./VICTORIA' backstamps. Interesting range of datestamps, noted Redesdale, Langley, St. James, Green Hill, Darraweit Guim, Red Jacket, Shirley, Hit or Miss, Break O'Day, also unusual tiny boxed 'MISSENT TO/BRIDGEWATER ON LODDON'.
