    1901 (1 Apr) Governor-General handstamped frank in blue on mourning envelope used in Sydney and addressed to Deputy Postmaster-General, very fine

    Small group of Kangaroo covers, with ½d on printed matter unsealed envelope, 1d Die IIA on 1914 picture postcard, 1913 and 1914 (2) covers to USA, franked respectively with ½d and 1d pair, ½d and 2d, and 2½d (latter with 'PASSED' censor mark), 1918 cover to USA with 2½d and ½d KGV, 1919 cover to Germany with 3d, 1934 Sheard airmail cover to England with 6d optd OS with 1/- Lyrebird Optd OS, and 1936 airmail cover to England with 9d plus 3d Sturt and 6d Kingsford Smith. All very fine (9)

    Small collection of KGV issues on cover, beginning with a 1d Engraved (slightly oxidised), 1d Red including 1916 underpaid cover to USA with censor marks, most of the basic stamps (on a simplified basis) represented by solo frankings up to 5d (no 4d Violet, but including 4d Blue), also punctured 'OS' usages (½d Orange, 1½d Brown, 2d Orange, 3d Blue), punctured 'T' (1d Red (2), one redirected with another 1d Red plus 2d Kangaroo also punctured 'T', 2d on 1½d), punctured 'OS/NSW' (2d Red), and 1d and 2d optd 'OS' on separate covers. Few minor faults, generally very fine (29)

    1913 (4 Feb) registered cover from Sydney stamp dealer Fred Hagen (embossed red label on reverse), addressed to Stanley Gibbons Inc. in New York, with combination franking of ½d New South Wales, 2d Queensland and 1d Kangaroo Die I pair tied by 'REGISTERED/SYDNEY' cds. Slight soiling on one 1d, otherwise fine. A 1d underpayment of the 5½d U.P.U. foreign registered rate

Fine and a very rare combination State/Commonwealth 'OS' franking

Reverse with advisory handstamp 'This letter was posted insufficiently prepaid./Please advise your correspondent to enquire of/local postmaster cost of correct postage on/matter of future destination.' in purple

    King George VI: Very useful assembly formed with intention of composing a commercial usage exhibit, focussing upon First Definitives, with scarce perf change 1½d Red-brown solo, coils (sharp horizontal teeth) 2d Scarlet and 2d Mauve (+ ½d), 3d Die I 'White Wattles' rare solo (commercial papers rate), parcel labels/tags and bulk postage docket including frankings of Robes 10/- (9) and £1 (6) (approx 250 items), also good selections of 1937 NSW Sesquicentenary, 1940 AIF, 1941 Surcharges, and Second Definitive Series (1942-49), includes advertising covers, imprints, useful rates with airmail postcards, some faults, mostly exhibitable (300+)
