    1922 2d KGV 'Star' embossed Colour Trial in Vermilion, endorsed 'No 4' and '2' at top left in ink, and '16' in red pencil. Submitted in November 1921 for the proposed change of colour from orange to red. Two examples are recorded, the other being numbered '1'. A fine and rare proof. BW EP23(DP)1A, cat AU$1500

    1922 2d KGV 'Star' embossed Colour Trial in Deep Crimson endorsed 'No 5' and '7' in top left corner in ink, and '18' in red pencil. Submitted in November 1921 for the proposed change of colour from orange to red. Two examples are recorded, the other being numbered '6'. A fine and rare proof. BW EP23(DP)1B, cat AU$1500

    1937 2d Red KGVI oval embossed Die Proof in issued colour on thin white card (100 x 126mm) with Postmaster-Generals; Department label affixed at base 'Proof printed from the die of 2d stamp design'. A superb proof and the only example recorded in private hands; another is recorded as having been presented to the Royal Collection. BW EP40(DP)1, cat AU$12,500

    1942-70 duplicated collection of mostly unused envelopes, with KGVI 2½d Red M (4, one U), 3d Red (2), 3½d Red (3), QEII 3½d Red Large Die (6), 4d Plum Large Die, 4d Plum Small Die (4, one U), 5d Dark Blue, 5d Light Blue (6, plus STO U), 5d Red (2), 4c Red (2, one STO U), 5c Orange (3), 6c Red (3), 7c Purple, 10c Red, 18c Orange (2 one U), 20c Purple. Mostly fine, with range of sizes, paper stocks and text settings (43)

    1942-50 2½d Red KGVI oval embossed, size 145 x 90mm with patterned security lining in grey (Type 1), handstamped 'SPECIMEN' in violet with additional strike on the face of the envelope. Used for items included in a display of current stamps and stationery at the G.P.O. Melbourne. Very fine, and according to the BW catalogue the only recorded example. BW EP42(1)Aw, cat AU$600

    1951 3d Green KGVI crowned circle embossed overprinted SPECIMEN in red for distribution to U.P.U. countries, superb. The 3d die was intended for stamped-to-order envelopes, and these SPECIMEN envelopes were the only Post Office envelopes prepared. 356 envelopes were distributed. BW EP47w, cat AU$150
