    Estimate: $750

    Postal Cards: 1903 pictorial postcards (132 x 92mm) showing collotype illustrations of a Kangaroo and Joey, a Group of Aboriginals, and a Camel Train, reverse with 'POST CARD' heading and with manuscript endorsement 'G03/3432' indicating origin from an official Post Office file. These cards probably represent a submission from a private post card manufacturer assamples for a series of pictorial postcards. Rare and ex Dr Leslie Abramovich (3)

    Postal Cards: 1904 Postcard Design Competition: two postcards (138 x 88mm) with half-tone illustration of 'PRINCES' BRIDGE, MELBOURNE' printed in black and chestnut, the chestnut card with pencil-drawn post card heading inscribed 'NEW SOUTH WALES/COMMONWEALTH/OF/AUSTRALIA/PICTORIAL POST CARD', and dated 'JULY 1904' at bottom left. The Princes' Bridge illustration is identical to that used on the back cover of £1 stamp booklets (see BW No. B1(N)a). Fine and a unique pair, ex Dr Leslie Abramovich

    Postal Cards: 1911 1d Coronation cards, comprising a set of the portrait types and sub-types, lacking only George V in oak leaf wreath (BW P8(2), and Queen Mary in diffuse oval (BW P10(2). Wide range of colours and mixture of buff and white stock on reverse. A couple with minor blemishes, however very fine for these, BW cat AU$3625 (29)

    Postal Cards: 1911 1d Coronation cards, an all different selection comprising 23 of the 31 portrait types and sub-types, wide range of colours and mixed white and buff stock on reverse, few minor blemishes but generally fine, BW cat AU$2875 (23)

    Postal Cards: 1917 Provisional Use of Divided Reply Cards Tasmania 1d on 1½d Brown reply half unused, minor blemishes but generally of fine appearance. BW P40, cat AU$3000

    Postal Cards: 1917 Provisional Use of Divided Reply Cards Tasmania 1d on 1½d Brown reply half with 'REPLY' obliterated, very fine unused. Rare, with only a total of 6,820 single cards (both outward and reply) issued. BW P40, which states 'It is estimated that approximately ten examples survive of each half', cat AU$3000

    Postal Cards: 1917 Provisional Use of Divided Reply Cards Victoria 1d Rose Die 2 outward half with text at lower left obliterated, very fine unused. Only 3,188 single cards issued between the four sub-types, and probably only three or four unused examples of this card survive. BW P43, cat AU$5000

    Postal Cards: 1918-19 'THREE/HALFPENCE' on 1d Red George V Sideface obsolete 1916 issue, superb unused, very rare. BW P50, which states 'At least three unused cards are recorded', cat AU$2500

    Postal Cards: 1923 'ONE PENNY' on 1½d Green and 'ONE PENNY' on 1½d Brown no message at base unused, minor blemishes, and 'ONE PENNY' on 12½d green with message at base, unused and unevenly suntanned, and most unusually for this issue with printed message for Francis Longmore & Co., Melbourne on reverse. BW P58-60, cat AU$1800 (3)

    Official Postal Cards: 1919-21 1½d Red-brown on OHMS card printed in red for the Victorian Education Department, Type 2 'OS' cliche, slight crease and right and with minor blemishes, unused. BW PO3B, cat AU$1000

    Stamped-to-order Cards: 1930-37 1½d Brown George V Oval Embossed for J. Kitchen & Sons with printed message on reverse including advertising for Velvet Soap, used from Morwell to Chelsea (Vic), 1 February 1931. Some minor spotting on left side of card, otherwise fine and rare. BW PS24, cat AU$1500

    Stamped-to-Order Postal Cards: 1959 3½d Orange uprated with ½d and 1d for Goldsborough Mort & Co. very fine mint. Only three examples recorded for this company, with two mint. BW PS33, cat AU$1500

    Official Cards: 1919-21 1½d Red-brown George V with 'OS' in cut-out letters (Type 3 with white flaw in kangaroo's tail) and with red printed heading and on flimsy stock. For use by the Victorian Education Department with 'I.347/8.19.-11397.-20M.' imprint on reverse, very fine unused, ex John Sinfield. BW PO3C, cat AU$1000
