    1928-30 4½d Violet KGV oval embossed size 225 x 100mm uprated with 1½d KGV for use to Germany, cancelled 'REGISTERED/MELBOURNE' cds, 2 JL 28. The envelope is from Melbourne stamp dealer W. Brett (formerly Brettschneider) and is addressed to well-known German stationery dealer Walter Beckhaus, and is noted in the BW catalogue as the earliest known date and possibly a first day usage.
