1965 5d Christmas error 'Brown Omitted' affecting the faces, hands and hair. Soiling on perf tips and vertical crease through lower half of stamp. This is a very rare error, a sheet was purchased at the Manly post office, a few were used (and lost) and several were put aside, subsequently the Australian Post Office confiscated the rest of the sheet. It is believed that only about a half dozen mint examples exist. SG 381c, cat £4500, BW 435cc, cat AU$8500
