Moreton Bay District: 1860 (29 Aug) long cover (222 x 94mm) to Lyttleton, New Zealand with 6d Diadem Imperf (2, contrasting shades of Olive-grey and Greyish-brown, both large margins all round) tied by Brisbane concentric ovals duplex, and with Port Victoria arrival datestamp (SP 28 60) on face. Back flap torn and two vertical folds away from adhesives, however very rare, Palmer records only one other Moreton Bay District cover to New Zealand, from the same correspondence (a single rate franking)  | ||
